Find your people. Know where to start.
Clan facts, society links and sourced gatherings in one place. Unknowns stay labelled; a name match does not establish ancestry.

Verified branch websites and joining routes. Branch membership and fees can differ. Shared clan symbols do not mean a separate regional tartan.

Is there a society near me?
Start with the listed branch or commissioner for your area. A commissioner is not automatically a separate society. Local attendance, meetings and next event dates must be checked with that branch.

The story behind the name
The association describes Badenoch as its heartland and says the modern association began in1946 with a group of clansmen in Scotland. It now invites Macpherson spelling variants and associated families into a worldwide community. This gives visitors a real route into clan life without claiming a surname search proves descent. Clan story source
A surname story is a starting point, not your family tree. To connect yourself to it, work back through named relatives and records. A faire souvenir or surname-matched coat of arms does not establish descent or heraldic entitlement.

Is there a Clan Macpherson coat of arms I can use?

Can I wear the tartan without joining?
